ProSource’s History
ProSource has become the leader in document solutions that it is today from the efforts of dedicated professionals who realized a vision. ProSource was founded as Cincinnati Copiers by David Russert and Ted Cook in 1985. Ben Russert joined the management team just three years later and continues to serve as President and Owner. By 1988 the company doubled in size through an acquisition and began to offer the Konica product line. In 1991 the company extended beyond the Cincinnati market and opened a branch in Dayton. To reflect this growth, Cincinnati Copiers changed its name to Pro-Copy Technologies.
Over the next years, Pro-Copy Technologies enjoyed continued expansion and in 1994 merged with the Konica direct branch. The late 1990s was a time of steady growth and by 2000, Pro-Copy Technologies had become one of the largest dealers in the country. In 2002 Pro-Copy Technologies acquired the Panasonic direct branch in Cincinnati and another Dayton area dealer.
2005 marked a year of great advancement for the company. No longer just about copiers and printers, Pro-Copy Technologies became ProSource. The new name reflects the evolution from a product focus to a total document solution provider. ProSource also unveiled their exclusive TotalPro Experience, a 6-step process that emphasizes the ProSource commitment to customers. ProSource continues to grow steadily and pursue new technologies that will help customers improve their bottom line.
Throughout our history, ProSource has been recognized by industry associations and publications for delivering exceptional products and services. Some in multiple years, ProSource has earned prestigious awards that include Small Business of the Year by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Konica Minolta Elite Dealer Award, and Dealer of the Year and Best Sales Program from imageSource magazine.
